Hyundai Cars Still Some of Least Expensive on the Market

Some auto dealers have been creating a lot of hype about their inexpensive models, but some Hyundai cars still hold the crown for least expensive.

The 2009 Hyundai Accent has been dubbed the “country’s most dependable sub-compact car,” but it is also one of the most affordable as well. The new model has a base price of about $9,970, which is currently the least expensive new car on the market.

“Accent is the perfect vehicle for a customer looking for the ideal mix of price, dependability and fuel economy,” said Mark Dipko, a manager at Hyundai. “And as a brand known the world over for its value, we feel it is important to retain our crown as the most affordable new car available.”

But that’s not the only thing engineers are trying to accomplish with these Hyundai cars. Next year, the automaker is planning to launch a special “Blue” edition of the Accent that will get higher gas mileage for the same price as it costs today. The new version will have modifications that reduce rolling resistance and engine friction along with other changes for better fuel economy.

These are just a few of the exciting things happening with Hyundai. Visit your Springfield dealer of Hyundai cars today to see some of these exciting features.

2008 Hyundai HED-5 i-Mode Concept Car

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2008 Hyundai concept cars drew a lot of attention. In particular, the Hyundai HED-5 i-Mode was one of the more popular attractions for the fifth largest automaker in the world.

The reviewers at Kicking Tires described the concept car as “futuristic-looking,” but the insides of these Hyundai cars are much more interesting than the outsides. One of the most interesting aspects of this new car is that it can comfortably hold six adults even though it has a more compact size.

The automaker also displayed some other technologies that engineers are working on. The turbocharged engines are going to improve fuel efficiency by as much as 20 percent! The new engines are going to go in various Hyundai cars, but the automaker hasn’t released any more information about which models just yet. The engines will also have about 286 horsepower with four-cylinder engines for drivers who want to feel the power without worrying about fuel efficiency.

The 2008 Hyundai concept car already has the “go ahead” for production, but there aren’t any specific plans as to when it is going to launch or hit dealer showrooms.

Tough Economic Times Ideal for Buying Pontiac Used Cars

You might think the tightening credit crunch and current money crisis would prevent you from getting a good deal on Pontiac used cars, but that’s not true.

The fact that fewer people are qualifying for financing means big discounts for the people that do qualify. “Dealerships are desperate to sell cars,” said William Ryan, an independent researcher studying the auto industry. “The reality is you are probably going to get a pretty good deal if you can afford it. There is a lot of heavy discounting going on.”

Adam J. Renie, a sales manager in Indiana, says the auto industry is a buyer’s market. “Anybody who is an able buyer, you are making sure they end up in your vehicle,” he said. That’s because dealers are competing for your business more than ever before.

The average incentive from automakers is more than $2,500. Compared to the average incentive a year ago, that’s nearly 25 percent higher.

That means you are more likely to get a great deal on Pontiac used cars or new Pontiac cars now and for the next few months. Hyundai Cars to Get 35 MPG by 2015

The Hyundai Motor Company announced plans last week that its fleet of Hyundai cars will average about 35 miles per gallon by the year 2015.

That might not sound like big news, but it is fairly significant because the new fuel economy regulations are giving automakers until the year 2020 to make this happen. That means Hyundai cars will likely be way ahead of its competition by about five years! “We’re taking fuel efficiency higher and faster than any other carmaker. We’re going to pass Toyota and Honda by 2015,” said the vice president of product development at Hyundai. Those are fairly lofty goals for the fifth largest automaker in the world, but its track record shows that Hyundai isn’t afraid to take risks, set high goals and accomplish them.

The new plans were announced at the world-famous Los Angeles Auto Show where many other manufacturers are showcasing their latest concept cars and features. One of the Hyundai cars showcased at this year’s show was the company’s first hybrid Sonata that will be available on dealer lots in 2010.

The new fuel-efficient campaign for Hyundai cars is called the “Hyundai Blue Drive.” Keep an eye out for these words in the next couple years and you’ll know where you can find the cars and technology of the future.

Three Tips for Saving Gas with Your Pontiac Used Cars

Do you remember the days when every website you visited had tips on how to save fuel when driving your Pontiac used cars? It seems like just yesterday, but it was actually just a few months ago. But even though gas prices have decreased dramatically, there’s no reason to be careless with your fuel usage again with your Pontiac used cars. Here are a few tips you can use now and through the holidays to save money on gas and use it for more food and presents.

Slow down. This is not only good for your gas mileage this holiday season, but it also helps ensure your safety and the safety of others on the road. Slower driving means better fuel economy and it can also help you stop in time before getting into an accident.

Accelerate smoothly. You don’t need to get up to 45 mph in three seconds or less. That’s not only unnecessary, but it also kills your fuel economy. Instead, accelerate smoothly and your gas tank will thank you.

Avoid stopping and starting. You will probably encounter at least one traffic jam if you are traveling this holiday season. Our instinct is to fill the gap in front of us as quickly as possible by punching the accelerator and then slamming on the brake. Instead of doing that, do a slow roll to fill the gap and you’ll save gas.

Follow these and some other common sense tips and you’ll be able to put that gas money toward something more fun…like visiting your Pontiac cars dealer near Newtown Square!

2008 Hyundai October Sales Set Record for Automaker

At a time when domestic automakers are looking for a financial bailout from the federal government, the 2008 Hyundai October sales figures are the company’s best figures ever.

The 2008 Hyundai sales are due to some of the automaker’s smaller cars that are better on fuel economy. The i10, i30 and several others are attractive to buyers interested in nice cars with a better fuel economy, explaining the surge in sales in October for Hyundai cars.

In terms of numbers, global sales of Hyundai cars were up about 12 percent from the same time period in 2007. Overseas sales were also up in October 2008 from last year even though Hyundai diverted some shipments due to fewer available supplies.

But smaller cars aren’t the only thing that helped increase 2008 Hyundai sales. Markets like the Middle East and Russia were more interested in cars that ranged from small vehicles to the Tucson compact SUV. While these models are good on gas, they are not as good as the smaller cars like the i10 and i30.

The most impressive numbers probably occurred in the India and China markets, however, where sales of the i10 increased by about 66 percent!
