Discussing the 2008 Hyundai Tucson

The 208 Hyundai Tucson is one of the more affordable compact SUVs on the market. In fact, it ranks #13 out of 27 on the list of affordable contact SUVs in U.S. News and World Report. The researchers based their decision on nearly 50 published reviews and test drives that focused on safety and reliability. As such, the 2008 Hyundai Tucson ranks in the top half of its class as a great value.

If you’re interested in a 2008 Hyundai Tucson, it comes in three trims – the Limited, SE and GLS. Each model is also available as a front-wheel-drive or a four-wheel-drive SUV.

Here are a few things that reviewers are saying about these Hyundai cars:

• Automobile Magazine: “Ride quality and body control are noteworthy…in relation to other Hyundais.”
• Newsday: While it breaks no new ground in design, performance or looks, [the Tucson is] a well-conceived little wagon at a bargain price, with a combination of practicality and on-road manners.”
• Mother Proof: “The Hyundai Tucson is a budget friendly way for small families to get it all – or close to it.”

Will New White House Policies Affect Import of Hyundai Cars?

When Barack Obama won the United States presidential election last week, many things changed. However, this blog post is about one thing in particular: The importation of Hyundai cars.

The kneejerk reaction of the South Korean automaker was to question whether or not it would still be able to import Hyundai cars into the United States. The media in the Asian nation raised concerns that president-elect Obama’s “protectionist policies” could cut down on the number of Hyundai cars coming into the country. The automaker, however, released an official statement, saying: “The election of Obama won’t have a negative impact on South Korean cars.”

In addition to that statement, officials with Hyundai cars in South Korea also said this: “Economic stimulus packages by the new U.S. administration might be a boon for the South Korean auto industry.”

Obama, on the other hand, has made no qualms about criticizing the trade deal between the United States and South Korea. More than 772,000 Hyundai cars and vehicles from other automakers in South Korea were sold in the United States in 2007 compared to about 6,200 of American cars sold in the Asian country. To him, that’s not fair.

There is still a deal on the table awaiting ratification by the two nations regarding a free trade deal. We’ll keep an eye on this situation and let you know if anything develops. Maybe it’s a good idea to see if any Hyundai cars near Springfield are available before any changes are made in the current trade agreement.

There is a group – Kids and Cars – that advocates the use of this feature as it has been shown to save lives since its introduction just a few years ago. Also, the Transportation Department is working on guidelines that will make these gadgets standard in future vehicle models to increase safety.

Some automakers make the rearview camera available on some of their models. However, you can get a package and install it yourself on your 2008 Hyundai cars. Tips for Buying Hyundai Cars in Bad Economic Times

Many people in the country are hurting financially these days. They are cutting corners and making cuts in their budget to pay their bills. Some people may even need a new car because they can’t afford to fix their current car any more. Luckily, buying Hyundai cars near East Brunswick does not have to break your budget. Here are some things you can do to stretch your dollar and find the best of the Hyundai cars for you.

Look for dealer incentives. In efforts to get people to the lots, many car dealers are offering impressive incentives. Some dealers are even offering thousands of dollars off and zero percent financing to entice consumers. Look for a dealer near you that has the best incentives on Hyundai cars before you begin shopping.

Consider certified pre-owned cars. CPO cars aren’t new, but they’re the next best thing. Consider certified Hyundai cars if you want the quality of a brand new model without that pesky expensive price and depreciation.

Be patient. Tough economic times don’t always last. If you’re unsure if you can afford to get a car right now, give it a few months. The economic situation and your own personal financial situation could improve so you won’t be so stressed out with a new car payment.

These are just a few things you can do to forego the stress of buying a car in today’s economic turmoil. For more tips, click here.

Hip-Hop Star T-Pain Inspires New Hyundai Cars

You’ve seen some of the most luxurious and beautiful cars in hip-hop videos. Well, you may not have seen them, but I’ve seen a couple. But the hip-hop star T-Pain has actually inspired Apple to work with Hyundai cars to create a car in his honor.

The Digital Genesis, one of the most unique Hyundai cars in recent years, comes equipped with two Mac minis and a Macbook Air. Those are some of the best computers in the world! How appropriate that they are installed in a car made by one of the best automakers in the world.

In addition to the computers, the T-Pain-inspired Hyundai cars have an iPod Touch, two wireless keyboards, an iPhone and many other features.

Hyundai plans to announce the launch of the Genesis later this year for 2009. If you’re at the event, you will receive free downloads of T-Pain’s songs and other songs from fellow artists on the Nappy Boy Digital label.

Prices haven’t been released for this special line of Hyundai cars near Somerville. From the article, I’m not even sure if this is going to be a one-of-a-kind car or a special edition line of Hyundai cars. Would you want a Digital Genesis if it was at your local dealer?

Hyundai Reviews Plans for Fuel-Cell Vehicle

In order to stay on top of the auto industry, Hyundai reviews its future plans consistently and realistically. The newest announcement by the Korean automaker involves launching its fuel-cell technology in 2012.

If the automaker launches fuel-cell technology for its Hyundai cars near East Brunswick and across the nation in 2012, that will be just three years after the launch of the company’s first hybrid vehicle. The automaker is pumping more money into the research and development of the fuel-cell in order to ensure its readiness for the 2012 goal.

Fuel cells are not anything new, though. The concept has actually been around since the 1830s when a German scientist by the name of Christian Friedrich Schonbein published his discovery. Another scientist – Sir William Robert Grove – demonstrated fuel cells in an 1839 edition of the Philosophical Magazine and Journal of Science. For a later edition, he sketched the idea to give people a better idea of how it would work.

Over the last century and a half, other scientists and engineers have made great strides in making improvements to the idea and the technology. I wonder if they knew back in 1838 that this would be used in cars. Oh wait…they didn’t even know what cars were back in 1838!

Ban on Hyundai Cars Lifted in Beijing

Did you know that Beijing imposed a ban on Hyundai cars last month? It’s true. The Chinese government wasn’t allowing any Hyundai cars to be imported into the nation after reports from local dealers that some South Korean companies “pressured them to meet sales targets” and “violating antitrust laws.”

Lifting the ban on Hyundai cars comes on the heels of the automaker’s announcement that it plans to boost car sales in the country. In fact, it plans on selling at “twice the pace of the overall industry next year as it adds more models and dealers in Asia’s biggest vehicle market.” As a result, the sales results for Hyundai cars could increase by about 20 percent by next year while the overall industry sales only increase by about half that amount.

Currently, Hyundai has increased sales in China by “about triple the pace of the market this year” because of a new plant in the region. This plant manufactures the Elantra sedan, a car the automaker says is “specifically designed for Chinese drivers.” The automaker also plans on increasing its range of available Hyundai cars from six to 10 by the end of 2010.

You don’t have to worry about bans on Hyundai cars near Somerville. Visit a local dealer today and see one of the new vehicles on the market!

2008 Hyundai Models Have Helped Sustain Company

If it wasn’t for some of the more fuel-efficient 2008 Hyundai models, the automaker may be having the same problems as others in the industry. But that isn’t happening.

Although sales have declined for the fifth largest automaker in the world, it’s not having nearly the same number of financial difficulties as domestic automakers that I won’t mention by name. In fact, the automaker is moving beyond the 2008 Hyundai lineup and focusing on sales of the 2009 models, specifically the luxurious Genesis model.

Officials at Hyundai Motors expect to sell about 55,000 Genesis models across the globe during its first year on the market. Those are pretty lofty goals considering the economic times we’ve been going through. However, Hyundai is confident that it can happen. Officials are expecting to sell at least 20,000 in the United States alone in 2009. Other large markets for the Genesis include the Middle East, China and Korea.

So far, reviews and write-ups of the new Genesis have been favorable. That’s one of the reasons the automaker expects many drivers to trade-in their 2008 Hyundai cars near Springfield and across the United States for a brand new Genesis. We’ll be writing more about this upcoming launch as the days draw closer.
