At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2008 Hyundai concept cars drew a lot of attention. In particular, the Hyundai HED-5 i-Mode was one of the more popular attractions for the fifth largest automaker in the world.
The reviewers at Kicking Tires described the concept car as “futuristic-looking,” but the insides of these Hyundai cars are much more interesting than the outsides. One of the most interesting aspects of this new car is that it can comfortably hold six adults even though it has a more compact size.
The automaker also displayed some other technologies that engineers are working on. The turbocharged engines are going to improve fuel efficiency by as much as 20 percent! The new engines are going to go in various Hyundai cars, but the automaker hasn’t released any more information about which models just yet. The engines will also have about 286 horsepower with four-cylinder engines for drivers who want to feel the power without worrying about fuel efficiency.
The 2008 Hyundai concept car already has the “go ahead” for production, but there aren’t any specific plans as to when it is going to launch or hit dealer showrooms.
