2008 Hyundai Models Have Helped Sustain Company

If it wasn’t for some of the more fuel-efficient 2008 Hyundai models, the automaker may be having the same problems as others in the industry. But that isn’t happening.

Although sales have declined for the fifth largest automaker in the world, it’s not having nearly the same number of financial difficulties as domestic automakers that I won’t mention by name. In fact, the automaker is moving beyond the 2008 Hyundai lineup and focusing on sales of the 2009 models, specifically the luxurious Genesis model.

Officials at Hyundai Motors expect to sell about 55,000 Genesis models across the globe during its first year on the market. Those are pretty lofty goals considering the economic times we’ve been going through. However, Hyundai is confident that it can happen. Officials are expecting to sell at least 20,000 in the United States alone in 2009. Other large markets for the Genesis include the Middle East, China and Korea.

So far, reviews and write-ups of the new Genesis have been favorable. That’s one of the reasons the automaker expects many drivers to trade-in their 2008 Hyundai cars near Springfield and across the United States for a brand new Genesis. We’ll be writing more about this upcoming launch as the days draw closer.
