Have you ever been to a swanky restaurant or hotel that uses a valet parking service? If so, you probably know the procedure. However, if you have never been to a place like that and you are planning to go, here are some tips when handing over the keys of your VW cars.
• Watch other people. Valets make a great deal of their wages from tips. That means the faster and more efficient they are, the more money they make and the happier the customers are. If you slow them down, they are less likely to be nice to you.
• Let the valet open your door for you. Do not get out of the car before the valet opens your door. It may mess up the system they got going on.
• Let the valet know of any problems with the car. For instance, if the alarm is touchy or if the doors do not lock properly, the valet needs to know about it before parking your VW cars.
• Tip the valet when you get your car back. Customary tips range between $5 and $10 depending on the type of place you are visiting. Remember that it’s always better to tip too much than to tip too little.
